Nestled within the bustling markets of Karachi, one of our esteemed artisan partners creates some of the world's most exceptional leather and sheepskin outerwear.
Commitment to Quality
The workshop prioritizes craftsmanship over mass production, utilizing only the finest leathers sourced from renowned tanneries from Turkiye and South Asia. Artizaan is proud to announce that future product will be sourced from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group.
“Leather requires a different approach compared to fabric,” Ahmed explains. Each artisan-crafted jacket is the result of painstaking attention and countless hours of labor. “Every leather hide possesses unique characteristics, and we meticulously design patterns to enhance those distinct properties.”
While they procure their pelts from the most reputable suppliers annually, only a select few hides are considered worthy of being transformed into their exquisite coats.

Attention to detail
“The difference lies in the passion we infuse into our work,” shares Ahmed, founder and designer at one of the last family-run Pakistani manufacturers of premium coats. “At every stage, our artisans are dedicated to perfecting the final product.”
A Legacy of Artistry
Generations of heritage and skill underpin this limited-edition workshop's success. In an era dominated by fast fashion and x trends, they concentrate on timeless designs infused with a sophisticated urban flair. Each coat is carefully handcrafted from natural materials, ensuring that no two pieces are ever identical.
Ahmed's skilled team of master artisans shares his deep-seated passion for leather craftsmanship:
“I feel a profound connection when working with leather,” says Bilal, a leather cutter with over three decades of experience. “It’s in my blood. Crafting patterns for the jackets is akin to piecing together a puzzle, and I revel in the natural beauty of the leathers we use, watching everything come together beautifully.”
Fatima, the facility's manager of cutting and sewing, has dedicated nearly thirty years to perfecting her craft. “I’ve worked with leather all my life,” she states. “We invest immense handwork into our coats—not just in the leather, but also in the intricate details of the lining and construction—elements that may go unnoticed but significantly enhance the quality. I take great pride in our creations.”
Amidst the rapid evolution of Pakistan’s fashion landscape, this small, family-run enterprise remains steadfast in its commitment to time-honored traditions of design, cutting, and tailoring. Each jacket is a masterpiece that we believe you will treasure for generations.

“I adore my craft. I began 30 years ago as a helper in the sewing room, and I’ve been creating coats ever since. The level of detail and care that goes into our work is immense, and I take joy in transforming raw materials into a stunning finished product.”
